The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 55-200mm F/3.5-4.8 OIS LM R telephoto camera lens is a versatile lens that covers the maximum range when taking close-up photos. Perfect for shooting landscape photos, taking shots of wildlife, or capturing pivotal moments in a sporting competition, this lens produces pictures that are clear, sharp, and in focus. The focal length of this lens is 55-200mm, with the telephoto lens length being 84-305mm. The aperture range is f/3.5-22, making it a good lens for controlling the amount of light that filters through when taking pictures. The aperture is manual or automatic. In automatic mode, the aperture is controlled by a ring that has 1/3 click stops to let you know when the aperture is customizing for light filtering. The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 55-200mm lens has one of the largest apertures on the market, ensuring proper light transmission. Fuji makes it easy for photographers to manage modes with three rings, two switches, and a linear motor that produces high-speed performance. Unlike other lenses, Fuji keeps it a bit old school by putting the switches and buttons right on the lens. The larger hood has just enough resistance that you won’t change the zoom, light filters, or focus by accidentally hitting the lens, but the ability to customize your photography is right at your fingertips. Fuji constructed this lens barrel from metal, and it weighs 20 ounces. The angle degree is 29-8.1, helping you capture the photos you want at just the right angle. The most desired feature of this Fuji lens is the optical image stabilization, or OIS, that it provides. With a 3.61 feet minimum focus distance, this Fujifilm lens allows photographers to isolate subjects or take wide angle views with the same clarity and sharpness. There are two extra low dispersion lenses, with one being a super-low dispersion lens. The super lens is equivalent to a fluorite lens, which helps to control chromatic aberrations and giving you better color contrast and image details. The low dispersion lens renders colors accurately while still keeping the speed you need for fast light transmission and fast focus and refocus. The image stabilization allows for shutter speeds that are 4.5 stops slower and prevents shaking when taking photos without a tripod or trying to zoom in on a smaller section of a larger subject. The Fuji lens is compatible with other filtering systems if you want to take a photo with a vignette or create other custom looks. It is not a weather sealed lens, so be careful when shooting outdoors. The Fuji lens works with other X-series cameras and gear, including the X-Pro I and Fuji X-mount tripods. Fuji film's Most Versatile Zoom
This precision piece of kit is capable of creating excellent images in a variety of situations. From wildlife to portraits to walk-around city fun, this lens comes through beautifully with quick, accurate focus and amazing OIS stabilization capabilities for still subjects. I am getting crisp hand-held images at 135mm and 1/8th of a second! Through the zoom range the image quality ever so slightly degrades as you get closer to 200mm, but even at this longest focal length, it still holds up very nicely. I was amazed at the detail in a shot of an Owl that I pretty severely cropped. At 100mm and f4 it works beautifully as a portrait lens with subject isolation smooth background blur. Great value lens
I am used to prime lens’ and this thing has got me stoked on shooting in depth landscape or even portrait at its shortest focal length. The images are sharp, it’s fast focusing, and gives me wonderful range. The only thing I had to get used to is while adjusting the zoom I sometimes hit the Aperture ring and change that as well. Met my expectations
I read some mixed reviews of this lens so I was a bit skeptical. Well, after some serious shooting, I am sure this lens will remain on my camera as my go to lens. Perfect carry around lens
Despite the maximum f/stop of this lens, it delivers crisp images regardless of focal length. If you can spring for the 55-140 for the constant f/2.8 aperture, by all means do so, but if your funds are tight and you want a bit more zoom,this lens is an excellent alternative. Excellent lens for the money!
As a travel photographer weight and size are important to me. While this lens isn't nearly as fast as the 50-140 2.8, it also isn't nearly as heavy or expensive, and all while having 60mm better reach! The sharpness is excellent for a lens of this kind, and OIS allows for longer shutter speeds if you're not shooting action. Action shots can be obtained with this lens as long as you have decent light and/or aren't afraid to push your ISO levels a bit. Great compact, light, fast telephoto zoom lens
