Totally obsessed with videotapes, 12-year-old Andy Colby goes on his routine trip to the video store and comes across a release called Incredible Video Adventure. Intrigued by the tape's title and by the video store employee's warnings not to sit too close to the TV while watching the tape, Andy rents the tape, brings it home, and pops it in his VCR. Throwing caution to the wind, Andy and his younger sister sit closer to the screen than advised and, also going against advice, forget to hold on tightly to the remote. As a result, they are pulled into the TV set and catapulted into a world of fantasy that no amount of videotape watching could have ever prepared Andy for.
