    Great read!!!

    An amazing read of her life and time in the white house. I truly liked reading of what was going on and truth behind some of the news headlines I so vividly remember, but only knowing or hearing of half the story. Highly recommend this book, especially for young women as I see it as great inspiration read. Congrats Michelle and very happy for you and your family. J. Lara

    Thoughtful book on life growing up as a black woman who is savvy.

    Very well written, easy to read and follow. Informative about how one's beginnings do not need to hold you back. Truthful to the task that women must follow to get where we want to be, our struggles, rewards, and sacrifices.

    Great book!

    The book is great. Not crazy about the format of the audio book. It’s one big file and doesn’t keep your place so when you go back you have to find where you were.

    Authentic Role Model- a Look into struggles and maturing with strength and grace

    Michelle Obama grew up in Chicago and explains in her book the daily life of a little girl, the struggles that are so frequent but the personal details are little known, especially for a little black girl trying to grow up with a sense of purpose, manners, and education that her parents nurtured for her and her brother. Their fears developed as well as their strength and maturity. Handling life is a learned skill and she guides through her life in this book for a beautiful example. Often, we think those who are successful escaped any struggles, but she had terrible ones. She is a beautiful role model for developing maturity for all ages. As an English teacher, I recommend it for all ages from about fifth grade on up. She provides a sincere account demonstrating how she developed personal ...

    Michelle is so Becoming

    Michelle has written a very good page turner. Out of 400 pages I have 100 to go, and I am pacing it out as I do not want it to end. They have had a great life together, and compared to her Spartan childhood days.......she must feel a bit queenly at this point in her life. Her husband is attentive to her even with his busy schedule. You can tell he adores his family life. I recommend the book.
