Even in the blistering heat of recent you turn it on on rotate on full power and the room will cool down pretty quick. The colour blends well with any light or dark wooden surfaces you might be putting it on too so it looks nice. It's a little loud but not deafening, won't obstruct conversation at all but you may have to turn the tv up a little depending on how near to it you are sitting
