Dismantling the device with hopes of fixing it for my kid confirmed the battery acid severed the batteries connection to the main board. A heavy paperweight.

The packaging was phenomenal with lots of bubble wrap. Postage was quick and tracked. Item arrived exactly as it was shown, and they did not try to hide the the imperfections which is reassuring.
