    Good and bad points

    Battery life of 100000 hours. Please tell me where to purchase those batteries. You sure didn't supply them when I purchased the item. Think you should update your description. Also directions etc are copies, very poor copies at that. Somebody was not paying attention to detail! Now the good side. It is light weight and compact. Light is very intense. Great for power outages, camping, and working in dark areas. My daughter saw it and wants 1 as well as a neighbor. Two more are being shipped to me right now. (Yes, shipping was fast as FedEx carried it from LA then gave it to the USPS for final delivery)

    Great product.

    I bought 2 of these lanterns. I live in a senior apartment and from time to time we lose our power. I was using just a flashlight but these lanterns are far much better. They are bright and really light up a room.

    No Light from Light - Worthless

    Had great expectations, I mean Bell and Howell. received the lantern in a plan box. no instructions but there was a sheet talking about a class action suit (should have been my first clue), installed new batteries and tested, I have gotten more light from a match! In fact that night we had a short power outage so we again tried the lantern, just a glow, then my son comes in with his Wallmart special (cheap) lantern and lit up the room So here it is, it is worthless, does not cast any light, and even with fresh batteries it is just a glow, and drains the batteries quickly but if you really want to throw away your money get it at Walgreens for the same price. At least there you can return it.

    Good Bright light---you can easily read a book by

    This light is definitely bright enough to easily read a book with the light sitting on a table beside you like a normal lamp. I tested it! It is small and conveniently easy to store away some place handy. Good size to have handy in a car too. It is light weight and easy to carry around the house. Uses 3 ordinary AA batteries. Of course I won't need to have it on for long hours and hours until there is a power outage, so I have no idea how many hours the AA batteries will last. I trust the Bell & Howell brand name and don't doubt the LED light parts will last the thousands of hours advertised. But everyone knows AA batteries last just so long, depending on what they're powering, so I'd think it a good idea to have extra batteries on hand besides what you put in the lantern, just in ...

    My husband loved it!

    Lots of light from this little lantern using only 3 AA batteries. It's new, so we don't know how long the batteries will last
