    We bought a Rand McNally 730 GPS. We wanted to use it on our vacation in our motorhome. Unfortunately, we had problems with the unit. Upon returning, I told the seller of our problems with the unit. They offered us another brand new unit designed for RVs. I looked this unit up online and found out it came out several years and wasn't supported by Rand McNally anymore. I explained this to the seller and requested a refund. Absolutely no problems returning the GPS unit with free shipping.

    "Used" and not "Refurbished"

    PROS: Very clean and looked like new. It updated properly and works perfectly. The suction cup mount was either replaced or had never been used. CONS: The power cable was DOA and the battery life almost non-existent once I was able to charged it completely using my other Garmin's power cable. Fortunately I am experienced in replacing batteries in these. This would have been replaced in a "Refurbished" unit prior to selling it as such. The previous owners data was still stored in the unit as well. Still a good deal for me.

    Garmin 2495 LMT

    Nice GPS with traffic receiver which alerts you to construction zones. The womens voice is loud and clear and easily understood.I like the beanbag base, it rests on dash and stays secure, much better than the suction cup bases. This is second 2495 numi I have bought from the same man. They are an excellent value and easy to use. Both units had all the 2016 map updates loaded. That is a real timesaver, loading all updates can be time consuming. Both these 2495 LMT were your basic plug and play.

    Garmin Quality Bundled with Great Features

    The Garmin nuvi 2495LMT is a wonderful product. I wanted this model for the lifetime maps feature. However, in addition, this unit also has lifetime traffic, a huge bonus. When I noticed that the unit has Bluetooth for hands free phone operation, I was sold. This is a feature-rich GPS, and what I really like now that I an using the device is the Voice Command feature. I can turn the volume up or down (settings), dial a number with voice prompts (phone), and activate a destination, such as "go home." Lane Assist is so helpful. Wow! I am so happy. Please note that my praise is not a complete list of the features and functions.

    Not worth owning

    I wanted an economical GPS for use in the USA and Mexico, but this one is awful. The power cord can't get a connection in any of my vehicles, and I have five outlets! Touch screen is very fickle and many of the menu pages require multiple tries or won't work at all; frustrating in my living room, but impossible in a car. Bluetooth and voice recognition seem to work well. I use Garmin GPS in my plane and have been very pleased for many years, but this particular unit needs work to be acceptable.

    Works good until the battery runs down

    Having problems with recharging. The screen hung up the second time I attempted to recharge but it eventually shut down on its own because it didn't respond to anything I tried. So I attempted to recharge one more time & it was successful. However, I'm concerned as to whether or not it will continue to have problems every time I have to recharge since even just the connection port was difficult until I found a way to prop it against something to get it to recharge. The Garmin itself is easy to use, reliable performance,and a good value, if I don't have any more recharging issues.
