I love this for my Mav88. Feels pretty good in hand, left and right rails are detachable. I use this for a mounted light and collapsible handle. This operates just as well as factory. The looseness people complain about was the same as stock for me( I switched back just to make sure). Twist your forend on a mav88 and you'll know what I mean. Good forend but has some drawbacks.
I like this forend in that you have a lot of picatinny rails to work with to tacticool your Mossberg or Maverick, the bad part of the forend is that unless you attach a grip to the bottom picatinny rail the forend is almost ungripable. So if you have a grip that attaches to the picatinny rail your golden, if you don't want to add a grip you need a forend with side picatinny rails that are only on the very front (barrel exit) and don't run the entire length of the forend. I added a flashlight with a picatinny mount that I can grip on the bottom rail and it seems comfortable as far as length of pull goes, we shall see. Comfortable and easy to use.
Where to start? This really made my 500 stand out. I like how the grip actually acts a grip in speed shooting situations. Not that you should have to do that, but in the case of a competition like with clay shooting it is great! It really makes the shotgun more adaptable if you want to mount new items on it and really "kit" it out. I'd recommend it.

Absolutely perfect!
I purchased a shell carrier that mounts onto my Mossberg 500 and I also purchased a heat shield for it. however, I could not use either of them because the stock forend the shotgun came with was too long and would hit the shell carrier and the end of the heat shield. I didn't want the expense of getting the separate pipe, nut and outterbody since the cost was more than I wanted to spend and I just wanted a simple one piece replacement of the stock forend that would not hit the shell carrier and the heat shield. I found this forend, it was the perfect length, it was easily installed on the shotgun, via a youtube video. it works perfectly and I was able to put both of my accessories onto my shot gun with no problems. this is a very well made single piece forend with built in rails that ... Tactical forearm or so great
I’ve been wanting one of these for my Mossberg 590 for a while. The installation was easy, fitment was proper, no issues at all with installation. When I went to use the shotgun at the range, I kept finding my thumb being flicked and poked really hard by the left picatiny rail. With the recoil it will bruise and possibly cut your hand because the rail is quite sharp. You have to hold the shotgun in an uncomfortable position in order to avoid being hurt by it. I came home and filed the sharp edge and rounded the left picatiny rail off. Now it’s all good. Just keep that in mind if you buy one. I’ve been wanting one of these for my Mossberg 590 for a while.
