Product Information

Konami's genre-founding rhythm game series steps onto to PlayStation 3 with 2010's simply titled Dance Dance Revolution. The game is best played using a "dance pad" floor controller, and the PS3 edition also supports the PlayStation Eye camera, for whole-body choreography. The camera accessory allows players to see themselves dancing on screen, and to record their performances for upload to YouTube or Facebook. Following a scrolling sequence of arrows that tell them where to move their feet and hands, DDR players swing their arms and step to the beats of a diverse selection of popular songs, including "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga, "Love Shack" by the B-52's, Train's "Hey, Soul Sister," and Sister Sledge's "We Are Family." The soundtrack also includes a number of original tracks from Konami studios.

    PS3 ddr, weak on songs

    I’m a casual ddr home player, nowhere near advanced or heavy. But have always loved this game, the music drives it and me to keep going, great workout. PS3 ddr is weak, the songs for the most part don’t cut it, slowing the beat to Bad Romance is annoying. Miss the days of real ddr music and step charts. It’s a nice addition to your collection and it’s a good intro to newer players as a lot of the songs are slower, less intimidating. All Konami needed was to get some more good songs on (and make available a true ps2 to 3 dance pad adapter as ps3 pads won’t work with ps2 games if you have a bc ps3). Konami just needs to bring back support for ddr on all platforms. Old school style

    DDR for the PS3 was not popular on release with its biggest issue having been using pop songs in lieu of over a decade of known DDR hits but it is still possible to get a good chunk of those DDR classics via DLC that is still purchasable on the PS3 PSN store in 2024 (it'll cost $27 for all of it). Games cost too much to make nowadays to make both a game and a peripheral so we'll have to keep going retro to get these unique types of experiences. That being said, everything came and works great.

    Having a Blast!

    I am really enjoying this game. There are several different ways to play the game - with or without the motion controller. I have enjoyed the songs so far. I like the work-out mode. I also like the club mode where you can dance to 4-5 songs in a row and it changes up the trick levels. It's something new for me and fun when I am trying to get my 10,000 steps in. If you get motion sick easily, I would put a general warning out there about this game. There are lots of moving parts in the background. Personally, I don't mind it, but I imagine some people might! Overall, very happy with the game and the content.

    sucks it has only 25 songs and have to access ps store for rest. otherwise does what a DDR game does correctly.
