    Eight is Enough

    This 8mp Canon Rebel is a convenient, lightweight DSLR at an affordable price. Megapixels are only half the equation, lenses the other. The Rebel can use both the EF-S lenses native to the Rebel, but also the EF lenses I have for my D-30 and my autofocus Canon film cameras. I bought it because I had an 18-55 EF-S lens I coundn't use on my D-30 that wouldn't autofocus. Luckily I found a Rebel body whose autofocus didn't work. It works fine in Manual focus, ( it takes a light touch),all other functions work fine. I use it as much as my D-30 and my Nikon D100.

A cost effective way to study and learn astronomy and applied astro-photography. Add in the classic Canon remote for under one dollar, a Canon type T2 adapter, and Dayton #5P0012, with the DANE-ELEC CompactFlash 8GB, and you're ready to rule the stars...in your own backyard. I couldn't be more pleased with the offerings of fellow E-bayer's, providing us with the bones; behind cost effective back yard science, and experimentation for a fraction of the cost over 10 years ago.     Excellent value DSLR

    This is a very old 8mp DSLR that still takes fantastic, low- noise photos. I use it with an ef 50mm lens. It was cheaper than lunch at Starbucks, so I'm not afraid of losing it.

    Good for the price

    Understand that the camera is old. On some pictures little spots can be seen due to dust within the camera. Overall functionality is good. Great for beginners.
