    Great Find!!!

    Very informative!!! A detailed look into the history of one of the greatest losses and finds in the history of shipwrecks. This book does more than just tell of the find of "The ship of Gold". It tells of the people on the ship. I have just barely started reading the book ,I will read at night when everyone else is in bed. I want to pretend that i am on the recovery ship and savor the find of this magnificent piece of history. I actually purchased a tiny piece of coal from the ship many years ago, the coins and gold are out of my means at the present time. I can't wait to get deep into this book!!!

    Shipwrecks, gold, technology, gold, history....and did I mention...gold

    This is a great story told by its principle protagonist. You should also acquire Ship of Gold in the Deep Blue Sea, written by an author sympathetic to Thompson. But, the story continues.... Thompson is presently in jail. He absconded with about $50 million in gold and refuses to reveal its whereabouts. It is truly a great American adventure and it is not over yet.

    The Ship of Gold

    Any body interested in shipwrecks and treasure will like this book. It is a factual account of what most treasure hunters experience. It's not at all an easy pursuit as most treasure salvors will tell you, there are many stories but this is a story that anyone who has interest in shipwrecks or ever thought about going after treasure should read.
