    Interesting book

    Book is a gift for our son-in-law who is intrigued by chickens and is an excellent cook. Haven’t read the book, but at a brief scan through, it looks like an interesting read and contains many recipes written into the story. I think he will enjoy it. Anxious to give it to him.

    Musings and artwork from a culinary star!

    Jacques Pepin is a legend in the culinary community and this book will help readers to understand why. In addition to savoring many lovely recipes for all sorts of poultry dishes, we also get to enjoy his lighthearted, artistic renderings of chickens and roosters, and to be entertained by Jacques' stories of his boyhood in France and the years afterward in the USA. Classic French cooking may not be at the top of the charts as it was back in the 60's and 70's, but these recipes are timeless classics that do not take a master chef to create. Pour yourself a glass of wine and let this book take you on an international tour; you are sure to find many recipes that will become part of your repertoire. As Jacques himself would say, "Happy cooking!"
