Solid light that does the job
Really good light for my commuting and those slightly longer night rides. I have mostly used the 400 lumens setting when not on a lite track and that has been fine.I ran it in flashing mode for 14 hours overnight, just to be geeky and check out the battery life (claims 30!) and it was still in the blue zone the following morning. I haven't had need for the full beam yet, I suspect I would only consider that if I was somewhere really remote and by some miracle going very fast! One thing to watch is the battery indicator. Its very non linear, by which I mean it stays on the blue for a long time, but once it goes amber it quickly goes red, so you kinda need to keep a mental note of how long its been on. This is a common feature though with a lot of rechargeable lights, don't let that put you off the Cateye. There are some good sites that compare lights with night photos of the lights such as road cc and cateye itself which I used to make my choice

Blinding product!
Blinding product! Have wanted to upgrade my battery power LED lights for a while now and this one seems to work a treat. It also fits on my mountain bike handlebars correctly in the middle shining forward as my existing light pointed to the side. Had it on full beam heading down the street on my 1st night and I had a few comments indicating that it was to bright so will save the brightest mode for the dark unlit pathways from now on. The lowest setting is still really bright anyway for round the streets.

Great for cycling in country lanes
My wife and I both have these lights (one bought from another supplier) and have found them excellent for cycling at night in country lanes. They provide good lighting for at least 25m ahead and a wide and even beam that covers the whole of a narrow road and the verge. The light is quite compact and solidly built with a metal case - although this does make it relatively heavy. Only minor drawback is the short battery life (1.5 hrs) at high power - however, the battery charge indicator is very useful and I've found the lower power settings perfectly adequate when I need to conserve power.

Visibly Safe
This cycle light may be compact but emits an enormous amount of light for rural unlit roads. It has 5 modes to choose from & conveniently returns to the last mode used when turned on. Excellent quality, long run time & easy to re charge.

Powerful light even in the day time
Super bright even in the day time - great choice of functions - good battery life - easy to fit - easy to take on and off the mounting bracket - charges quickly - reasonably expensive but you get what you pay for - would buy again

Good battery life
I like the wide beam coverage of this Cateye Ampp light and it has a decent 90 minute battery life on full power. Also the unit doesn’t have too many settings that you have to cycle through as Lezyne lights do

Great output and value.
Good quality aluminium body making it light and rust-proof. Also good illumination in a small body and recharges fairly quickly. All-round excellent set of cycle lights.

Great present
Bought as a Christmas present for the grandson who says that the lights are very bright and if used in flash mode the battery lasts a long time.

High quality build, superb visibility on unlit paths very bright with a great range of light settings. The mounting bracket holds it in a solid position on the handlebars, easy removal for charging.
