Inexpensive replacement air filter testing switch
Inexpensive and easy to change, this little plastic thing has a piston and diaphragm which will measure the vacuum between the air filter and the engine. The higher the vacuum, the more clogged up the air filter must be. So, you simply remove the air filter element and shake or tap the filter to remove the dust and debris from it. Put the filter back in and start the engine. If the filter is too clogged and the vacuum is still too high, THEN you change the air filter.
