  • Interesting Story About a Little Known Part of Armored History...

Belton Y. Cooper has told a compelling story about how U.S. Armored Divisions actually delt with the overwelming losses in North West Europe against Superior German Armor. U.S. Tankers were told the M4 Sherman was the Best Tank, armed with a low velocity 75mm gun, and could easily deal with any German tanks, a lesson learned the hard way with American and Allied Lives. He takes you with him and the 3rd U.S. Armored Division from the Breakout from Normandy, across France and all the way into Germany. The Horrors of recovering tanks that have been Knocked-out, and Burned, with the crews inside! The process on a daily basis of Recovering, Repairing, Replacing, or Cleaning Out these tanks. This is a good read about a little know part of Armored History, from a man "Who has seen more Destroyed Shermans than any man in History"!
