Directed by Irwin Winkler, DE-LOVELY depicts the life of the great American composer Cole Porter (Kevin Kline). Despite his sexual preference for men, Porter found inspiration and virtually unconditional love with Linda Lee (Ashley Judd). Told in flashback as Porter is near death, the film follows the Porters' fabulous, unconventional relationship from their meeting in Paris to their subsequent moves to Venice, New York, Hollywood, and Williamstown, as well as the many stops along the way. Kline perfectly captures the Porters' zest for life and seemingly inexhaustible need for love. Classic tunes such as Let's Do It, Let's Fall in Love, Let's Misbehave, and Anything Goes take on whole new meanings when considered in the context of Porter and Lee's life together. Contemporary musical performers, including Alanis Morissette, Natalie Cole, Robbie Williams, Elvis Costello, and Sheryl Crow, appear in the film singing Porter standards, a device that works surprisingly well.

    Shipping was free, fast and on time. Packaged nicely and bubble wrapped to prevent damage. Items were exactly as described and pictured. Discs themselves were dirty with palm and fingerprints more than normal could have been cleaned beforehand, so far, the discs I have watched all work fine which matches the seller's statement of them being tested beforehand. I appreciated the seller accepting an offer making these a good value for me as the buyer. I would purchase from Jonah's Junk again! :-)

    Great seller. Good deal for me! So happy to get the "final season" and in such good condition. The disks are pristine, as is the outer carton. Well-wrapped for shipping--heaven knows the post office made a mess of the cushioned plastic bubble-wrap envelope! So am grateful to the seller for that. Was so happy to get this set of DVDs for a price I could afford.

    Dvd 📀 in good shape but i didn’t care for the movie 🎥 itself .. especially since i own a vhs for movie Night & Day!! 🤷🏽‍♀️😬 I thought the storyline was gonna mirror that movie N&D!!

    Fabulous

    This is surely one of the best musical movies of all time. The story is rich and true, the characters complex but engaging, the sets and music are wonderful (Cole Porter - what else could they be?), the costumes spot on, and the acting deeply tender and valid. So excellent. It's a keeper.

    I enjoyed hearing so many great C.P. tunes. And the Ethel Merman gal was certainly special -- if only briefly . A necessity for a real Porter fan!

    A love story with sad ending.

    This is such an love story. The music is very good but the song composer's life is a mess. I really feel sorry for him. I guess that means the movie is done very well.
