In order to reflect the sound from the banjo forward, this Washburn 5 string banjo has a flamed maple resonator. For accurate tuning and mechanical advantage, the Washburn B16 has planetary tuners. Excellent banjo for the price.
The Washburn B16 is an excellent banjo for this price range. It has great tone and plenty of volume. Also, it is a very nice looking banjo. Mine is on the wall when it is not being played.
