Easy Upgrade Awesome performance
I easily Installed this CPU in a 2009 Dell Inspiron 546, replacing a single core Sempron CPU. I was amazed at the speed difference. Web pages load instantly, videos play with no pauses. I did a little script mining for Monero, went from an embarrassing 2-3 hps, to a respectable 30 hps. With 3 out of 4 cores maxed at 100%, temp = 65 C. Very happy with the upgrade, well worth the money. I'm going to dig out a couple more old PC's, and see if it's possible to bring them back to life.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Very nice processor for the value, Worth every doller! Much faster boot time
this was,is a nice upgrade from amd 2.8 dual core, works great,love this for the price, Will say can't beat this upgrade ver. the money. the highest I could go is to a 3.2 6 core but for the value this AMD Processor was double the cores, plus went from 2.8 to 3.0 dual core to quad core I checked asus motherboard website, to see what is compatable cpu's and what memory is compatableBestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Upgraded my AMD CPU after BIOS upgrade
This is a self built system with an ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard. Found if I upgraded the BIOS to ver 1804, it would run an AMD Phenom II quad core CPU. Former CPU was an Athelon 5000 dual core. Fast shipping. Product is what I expected.
Installed in my older AMD rig and it is working great. I was able to overclock this processor to 3.45GHz but since it's locked you won't be able to change the multiplier. Great upgrade on am2+ motherboard
I installed the AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz on an Asus M2N-Sli Deluxe to replace the AM2 6400+ 3.2 ghz and my processor performance went from a 6.3 to a 7.3 in the windows experience index, and to my surprise the imaging improved as well I think because of the programing in the processor. A very nice upgrade to an older system. Great AM3 socket CPU, especially great performance to it's low cost
This CPU performs rock solid and is great performance for the dollar, on older AMD based motherboards, you may be wanting to upgrade. Don't hesistate at this price point, it helps from less core CPUs you may be using. I have this installed in a Supermicro AM2+/AM3 socket MB, that has maximum 95W to the socket, and this Phenom II-X4 945 delivers the most from it's supported CPU list. Running 8GB of DDR2, 512GB SSD, and NVIDIA GTX 750ti 2GB, for a great budget build. Very pleased with this CPU addition as it has made a significant difference over the prior 3 Core lower frequency AMD CPU in the machine. Carefull inspection and patience with this purchase
The pins needed some straightening to install into AM3 socket. It took almost 20 minutes to have the cpu drop in. Used lighted 10x and 20x magnifier to align outside row of pins on two opposite sides. EXTREME care in straightening pins with fine knife blade. Not the first time received used cpu with minor problem. Takes a lot of patience but the result was gratifying. Good upgrade for an older system

Great CPU for the money!

Good chip
