In The Groove is a PS2-exclusive dance sim, based on the arcade game of the same name. Built upon a foundation of genre conventions established by Konami's Dance Dance Revolution, In The Groove adds its own spin to the whole-body gaming experience, by featuring power-ups that make the instructional arrows change speed or direction, highlighted by 3D graphical effects. The game's 70-song music selection is based on that of the arcade version, including hits from Utopia, Xuxa, Zodiac, and Oasis. Available game modes comprise "Dance," "Battle," "Marathon," "Fitness," and "Tutorial." In The Groove is the first game to be published by dance-pad manufacturer Red Octane.Product Identifiers
