A recently found treasure from WW1.
Great info and photos from a little unknown village in Picardy during WW1. It’s great to know these photographs are now being looked after. The amazing foresight of the Thuillier’s to document the many soldiers that went through their village of Vignacourt and supplement their own income in doing so was clever. We went to Vignacourt in 2023 to the museum there and looking at some of the photos in this book I can recognise the buildings over a hundred years later.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Too big to avoid.
An extremely heavy book which can be dangerous if dropped on your foot so be careful. Beautifully printed and bound. A descriptive text accompanies each picture though sadly the names of the soldiers will never be known. Lads with pipes, with their dogs or their motor bikes all smiling at us.
