A modern-full color-retelling of the story with the same theme, but with a seductive undertone
This reimagining of the story changes Pip to Finn, Joe Gargery to Joe Coleman, Abe Magwitch to Arthur Lusting, Miss Havisham to Nora Dinsmoor, Mr. Jaggers to Jerry Rango, and others. It changes the setting from, like the 1800s to the 1990s, with less depth of character to a quicker, more sexual inclined plot–in fact, the whole story has changed, but not the theme. Okay, it’s no match for the 1946 version, but it’s in color and has great actors, and I like Gwyneth Paltrow as Estella. I like Paltrow in most of her movies, DeNiro too.
