My 5th Amazon Smart Plug
I now have 5 Amazon Smart Plugs...They have been 100% reliable since my first one 3 years ago...I bought this one to use on a dehumidifier (Frigidaire) which developed a recurring fault code which turns the unit off inadvertently...It was under warranty and Frigidaire sent me a check for a new one...The unit is otherwise still perfectly good, but just goes off on its own...Turning the unit off then back on sets it running again...I purchased a new dehumidifier, but use this one in tandem with it which prolongs the life of the new one, and I can control it when traveling...Great solution!

Original product (or such an exact clone that I can't tell the difference). Easy to connect and configure through the Alexa app. Works perfectly at a better price than buying from Amazon. BTW, I once bought some off-brand switches that claimed to be compatible with Alexa. Those required a second app to find, enroll, and program. Wasn't worth the bother.

AMAZON SMART PLUG well worth the premium price.
costlier than other smart plug brands, but well worth it. Other brands, while much less expensive, require an additional software application layer to work with ALEXA. This Amazon smart plug doesn't and is much less intricate and convoluted to use.

LOVE IT!
I love these little plugs. They make my life SO much easier once synced to my Alexa! All I have to say now is, "Alexa, turn on my master bedroom lamp!" and it is done! And because they are small, they allow you to use the other outlet in the plug for other things! Handy, easy to set up, and dependable! LOVE IT!

Ease of connectivity
If you're going to use Alexa, then use an Amazon product which means fewer apps, ease of connectivity and compatibility.

Excellent product
Work perfectly. Picks up my wifi from inside a closed cabinet unlike the off brand models.
