Bob Jones (Michael Keaton) is diagnosed with terminal cancer just as his wife Gail (Nicole Kidman) learns she is pregnant with the couple's first child. Realizing he might die before the child is born, Bob decides to make a video about his life so that his child will someday be able to know him. In making the video, Bob embarks on a journey of self-discovery and decides to reconcile with his past, including a years-long estrangement with his own father.

    Just got around to opening the package. It came in beautiful condition, didn’t realize it was new?! Or maybe the packaging was just too good haha! But anyway, what really made this package great was the little note from the Wilkin’s Brothers. It’s type up, but I find it to be a nice touch to their delivery service. Thank you so much!!!     My life with Michael Keaton

    This movie is very sad, yet very real. It is a very engaging story, that could and I am sure has happened in real life. It kept my attention from beginning to end. Great movie!!!

    Everyone, when down, wants the love and support of family

    Other than "Avalon", few movies focus on the unique interpersonal relationships between immigrants and their first gen children. It is oddly, a story little told, maybe out of embarrassment or shame in exposing "family secrets". Nevertheless, it is a huge dynamic, every day, as more people emigrate here, and as their children move past their parents as "real Americans." Michael Keaton is Bob Jones, born Bobby Ivanovich, the son of an Ukrainian immigrant who became a junk recycler. When he was able, after college, Bobby anglicized (technically, it should have been Johnson), his family name and moved to California. Now, he gets a terminal diagnosis, while his wife is 5-6 months pregnant. Completely unglued and free falling, he eventually decides to see an Asian non-traditional healer ...

    "My Life"- Heartfelt movie that will make you think about your own life.

    The movie is great what I didn't appreciate is the format. Nowhere in the description does it say this is only formatted for old school square TV's. Kind of shady not to list that detail.

    loved, loved, loved it

    One of the first Michael Keaton films I ever saw, and it made a lasting memory. I bought this because I needed to see it again. A heart-wrenching story done beautifully by Michael Keaton. I was not disappointed at all. The only Keaton movie I was disappointed in was Birdcage, the one the critics loved. Go figurel
