lot of history shown
I just finished watching all the stories. At first I thought some of them might be boring, thought I knew more about the subjects than I did. I found the stories engrossing, had a hard time waiting to get to the next story, had to replay most the stories because little things I missed explained later actions. Since we live in different times now, we don't realize what conditions were like for minorities during WWII. Brave actions by whites resulted in citations and medals, while similar actions by others often didn't even earn a mention until years later! Gripping stories about the bravery that was so common by Americans from all walks of life illustrated in these stories.
Investigations that resulted in well deserved medals for others that can bring tears as you find out justice finally served for too few, most no longer living.
If you like to hear about the actions and sacrifices from all the branches of the military, I highly recommend this collection of stories. I think the History Channel did a wonderful job with these stories, and they leave you wanting to learn about more.
