Sound & Vision & Bowie
Three words in the wrong order. Should be Bowie : Sound & Vision. Having been lucky enough to have been alive at the same time as David Bowie is something I don’t take for granted. Sound & Vision the Box Set has been re issued in various changed states. Not sure exactly where this one sits but there’s not a bad. If your a casual Bowie Fan this might not be for you as it features a few tunes and versions that are quite probably unfamiliar. I often think this is more representative of what David was/ is . Box Sets and let’s face it although David Jones has left us for another place , David Bowie is other persona still occupies the same space and time he always did. An up date of this box set is long overdue. The Sound & Vision continues and will continue for ever. David Jones may be gone, but David Bowie and his Sound & Vision continues and will continue , get the chance buy this you won’t regret it. A massive upgrade
I bought this with the intention of moving on my original Ryko box version...but there are so many different tracks / versions on this newer version that I decided to keep them both! The remastering on this set is amazing and immediate from the get go. The forth disc is a real bonus over the original not to mention much of the third as well. Not the usual 'Greatest Hits'
A really excellent overview of Bowies output. There are many Greatest Hits collections , but this is a more thoughtful compilation appealing to those who want to hear tracks they may be less familiar with.
