Strong, powerful and precise.
It can take the weight of a 5d mk4 with a 24-105 lens throughout the complete range easily, no shaking, no noise, smooth moves and a smooth joystick that starts initially slowly to a equally smooth stop like you want for a cinematic take. I added a wireless Lavalier receiver, re-balanced and shot again with the same pleasant results. All controls are handy and fast. The APP is well developed and capable of firmware updating, remote controlling, changing motor reactions and speed. Very well built. Compared to famous brands out there this is a superior tool. This I just found out today. It is not mentioned in the manual or anywhere else I searched: The big focus wheel on the left absorbs energy from daylight or the sun. The if you walk into a shadow it glows. As far as controls, everything else is electronically lit. The focus wheel is not, unless you walk into the dark. Cinema Camera worthy with a gym membership
I would highly recommend the product, especially if you're working with heavier camera payloads. It takes up to 6.5KG without the additional power pack thing Zhiyun sell. Loved using it and really adds production quality. The only downside is the weight. Alone, the gimbal has a noticeable weight, add on a camera and you'll feel the burn very quickly! I would highly recommend getting a stabilizer grip or something so you can leave the tripod feet in the flat position- because you don't want to be faffing with this for too long. Better than expected
Fairly easy to setup and use despite the lack of great written documentation in the box. Thank god for YouTube "how-to" videos!
