    Passion Bible - expressing God's passion for people and his desire for a relationship with each of us

    A more expressive and lively translation of the New Testament. I can best describe this by quoting for the forward, "The purpose of The Passion Translation is to reintroduce the passion and fire of the bible to the English reader. It doesn't merely convey the literal meaning of words. It expresses God's passion for people and His world by translating the original, life-changing message of God's word. This bible draws one into the story of Jesus Christ and His desire for a relationship for each and every living soul. Well worth the money.

    Profound and nuanced for the modern reader

    This is the best Bible translation I have ever read, and I have many. His scholarship is impeccable with very informative and detailed footnotes on every page. And as usual, there are many layers to even the most familiar verses. This translation will open your eyes to more than you thought you understood. Even difficult and hard to understand verses came alive for me, some for the first time.
