NotesThis is the one that started it all. Blondie's self-titled debut (originally on the independent Private Stock label) laid the foundation of the pop bridge that would lead from punk to new wave. It wasn't a major hit upon it's initial 1976 release, however the years have been kind and the now classic 11 original tracks including X Offender; Rip Her to Shreds, and Look Good in Blue have been remastered and are joined by five bonus cuts, two of them being the rare Private Stock single versions of X Offender and in the Sun !

Blondie rocks to the beat

Debut disc establishes strong punk credentials!
This album, along with Plastic Letters, are my two favorites from the band. I spent a lot of time listening to the follow ups Parallel Lines and Eat to the Beat when I was a kid, followed by Autoamerican and The Hunter. When I was finally able to get my hands on the vinyl copy of this back in the day it was like a breath of fresh air! Don't get me wrong, I always LOVED Blondie, but the songs on here are so much more fun and more rock and roll than what followed, and bonus: NO DISCO! Having this again on CD with the bonus tracks is fantastic! And the recording of X-Offender doesn't skip!Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Great album. How Blondie began. Just don’t buy it from Moviemars or especially WorldofBooks. They’re both extremely slow to ship. And WorldofBooks claims they are in USA but they’re foreign.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
