Great thermometer
I am a nurse at a family doctors office, so I am used to the braun brand. Purchased this thermometer as a gift for a new mom and was very impressed with the new design. Love the backlight feature and 9 memory function for all those late night temp checks. So you can remember the temps in the morning when your not sleep deprived. Accurate
Needed an accurate thermometer as my kinsa would give wildly varying readings. Boyfriend is an EMT so he wanted to be able to do a temp check in the morning before heading in. Just what I needed

Inconsistent
You can take the temp 3x in a row and get 3 different readings, other times all within 1/10th. The forehead scanner is even less accurate. A digital mouth or armpit using the oral thermometer is still the most reliable. This serves a purpose but definitely has its limitations. You also need the probe covers that are around $8 per 50, that keeps you paying over the long term if you can find them. Do I like it yes, is it something I'd trust a life to definitely not.
