Gorgeous edition!
If you are a fan of the Iliad and/or Odyssey, this is a beautiful book to show that off. Gold gilding on the page edges, a nice Greek nautical theme on the cover, and a satin ribbon bookmark to keep your place. Most people who are interested in this particular copy of this book, will have most likely already read it. But if you haven't already read this kind of book you may want to pick up a paperback copy or download it free from the internet (part of public domain). Some people might find the content boring, but for those who are into history or know the type of content you're getting into, I can pretty much promise you'll love this copy of the Homeric epic. A Real Book
I am building a "library" in my circa 1765 home as I have fond memories of the library I spent so much time in growing up, My mother dies when I was just a child so the library became the babysitter to my siblings and myself, while my dad who had to take on another job, slept in the car until we were done and woke him up to go home.
