Great Versatile Strings
Hey I got these in fairly good time. But they are really great. They do have a more mellow tone, but the harmonics are so much better than any other string I've tried. And you can make them sound the right way to play metal through your amp and pedals anyway. Just a note. You have to make sure you Low E nut slot is enlarged to use these, or they won't fit properly. They are rather thick strings enough though the sizes they state.

Great addition and great transaction
This was my first set of tapewounds. Very nice sound and easy to play. I have arthritis and was looking for something to make it easier. Nice addition. Now I have one bass with Pro steels, one with La Bella Deep Talkin' flats and now the nylon tapewounds.

Smooth and rich sounding!!!
I've been playing bass for over 40 years and have always used round wound strings on all my instruments. When I heard about tapewound, and the different feel and sound they give I thought I'd give it a try. Long story short, my Fender Jazz bass now plays much easier, with no string noise when sliding from fret to fret and now sounds more like an upright bass. These strings are wonderful, easy on the fingers, sound great and add a lot of warmth to the sound. If you're looking for a more acoustic bass sound and easier playing, these strings will fit the bill.

Love em
These strings give a bit of a mellow sound; kinda imitate a stand up bass. Also they are EASY on the fingers for doing slides. I also have flat wound steel on a 3/4 scale bass. They are also NICE on the fingers for slides and give a brighter sound; excellent for plucking. I have a hard time deciding which to use....so I bring both of them.

Was surprised twice with these strings
Opened the pack and inspected the strings to find that the G string was a bit weird towards the bridge end, as if the coating was less uniform on part of it. Since I am new to these, I said what the heck and proceeded to string and tune them to pitch. That was the first surprise, when during tuning the nylon coating on the G string gave way and tore up with a pop. At first i thought that the string went but no - some 15-20mm from the saddle i have the bare string visible on a few mm stretch of the string. The second surprise was that it didn't seem to affect the tone, at least to me. Tapewound strings are my preferred ones since this set, on my P Bass knockoff. Easier on the fingers, got me closer to a double bass sound than anything before. And I get those "woa what are those strings" faces when people try my bass. Decently priced, shipping was prompt considering the distance.

Great strings
I love these strings,you don't here your fingers sliding on these and they are easy on the fingers,i would highly recommend these strings to anybody who wants a good set of strings.

Great tapewound strings!
I'm a beginner bassist and it's my first time using tapewound strings, but I think every basssit should try it. I installed it on my VM fretless Squier jazz bass and the sound and playability are great.

Ideal für fretless Bässe, sehr definierter und schöner Bassklang
Seit über 30 Jahren spiele ich E-Bass und habe schon so einige Saiten ausprobiert. Seit langem kaufe ich nur noch D'Addario Saiten, die äußerst haltbar sind und mich noch nie enttäuscht haben. Diese Nylon Tapewound kannte ich vorher noch nicht, habe sie aber einfach mal probiert. Sie sind äußerst angenehm zu spielen, weil sie total glatt sind. Sie haben einen definierteren Sound als Flatwound Saiten, dazu mit langem Sustain. Besonders eigenen sie sich für den Einsatz auf fretless Bässen, denn sie schonen nicht nur die Finger sondern auch das Griffbrett! Kaufempfehlung trotz höherem Preis, aber dafür halten sie jahrelang, zumindest auf fretless Bässen.

Best strings ever! But that's just my opinion.
Best strings I've played in my 30 years of playing bass. No twang like new roundwound strings. Still punchy and deep. Love the smooth feel and quiet slides with no finger noise! All my guitars and basses will get nylon tape-wound strings. Just give 'em a try once and you'll see what I mean.
