Timeless
The quality of the illustrations, music and style is just a timeless classic. After decades, still entertaining and beautiful to watch, for parents (adults) as well. The question about the "cruelness" of the killing of the mother deer - I find realistic and relevant. It is a much better way to start making children aware of mankind's mistakes and sorrow that follows out of that, then many of the newer movies for children. Very beautiful way to get to know nature through movie for small children.

Entertaining
When I was very young I first saw this movie at the movie theater. I loved the movie then and still do now. As a Grandmother my Grandchildren have watched this movie several times and still ask me to play it for them. The Great Grandchildren are now asking me to play it for them. Very cute movie.
