The Future of NAS Drives
Longer Life over performance, I hope! This is WD's answer to the need for an SSD with longer lifespan (5 year warranty) for use in a Network Storage device (NAS). There are faster SSD's out there, but if you want one for a NAS it has to be a SATA device at the moment and these at least offer more Total Terrabytes written than consumer grade devices for your laptop. Yes it is typically 3 or four times the price of a typical Spinning Hard drive of the same capacity, but it has no moving parts to wear out, makes no noise and runs cooler.
