Love This Cook Book!
I've collected cook books most of my life. This is definitely a keeper!!! I love how she tell little stories about her life growing up and growing their food. You will find recipes in this book you won't find anywhere else. This is my second Edna Lewis cook book and my favorite.

memories from my youth
Recipes reminded me of cooking from childhood. I've only tried a few recipes. I thought the book would be more about techniques on slow cooking and procedures to obtain optimum flavor.
