A terrific filmmaker - you have to see!
Who doesn't love Preston Sturges films? From one of the all-time greats comes this super awesome set with so many movies I adore, including The Lady Eve, The Great McGinty, Hail the Conquering Hero and others. Sturges at his best
Excellent collection of nearly all of Preston Sturges's best movies from the early 40s: Sullivan's Travels, Palm Beach Story, The Lady Eve, The Great McGinty, Christmas in July, Hail the Conquering Hero, and The Great Moment. (That last one was a bit of clunker, to be honest, but Joel McCrea still terrific.) I like good, fast repartee complemented by relevant action and camera work that accentuates the story line. Preston Sturges' films are as spontaneous and vibrant today as when they were made. Sturges Box Set
