Superb except....
Well after watching a few youtube reviews and seeing many woodworkers using this tape I had to check it out. Good price and great features were a superb selling point. Overall everything was great except 1 tinny little thing that unfortunately made me return. Such a shame otherwise it is a SUPERB TAPE MEASURE. The new versions apparently have a Nylon Coating that extends the life of the blade and that is a great idea. The only gripe I have is that because of the coating it changes the color of the blade from White to LAVENDER/PURPLE. I have seen other tapes on market also use a coating but theirs is clear. Such a shame but looking at a lavender/purple tape measure all day is bothersome to my eyes. I also have the Yellow version (mm and inches) and that one must be the older model because blade is pure WHITE and a pleasure to use. Such a shame.

Dummi tape for a dummy
Im a dummy when it comes to measurements this tape here takes all the guess work out of... well guessing and making you look; well more dummy. Tape seems to be a bit cheap made but i don’t complain since the price is right. Why aren't all tapes like this?
If you are right handed (most people are) - a "normal" tape is backwards. You have to hold the tape in your right hand and mark with your left - otherwise the numbers are upside down and backwards. This only works if you are left handed or have learned to mark with your non-dominant hand. This tape solves the problem. Whether you measure right to left or left to right, the lower portion of the tape (the side nearest to you) is right-side-up. No more reading upside-down and backwards. The tape can "stick out" at least 7 feet, which comes in handy when you're working solo. I only wish that FastCap would make a 12-foot tape in a smaller case. For most cabinet making, you'll never need more than a 12 foot tape. The 16-foot case is virtually identical to the 25, which is pretty bulky compared to the usual 12 foot tapes.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Absolutely the best I have ever bought.
I searched high and low for one of these when I saw a guy using one on a diy video. Finally I enlarged the snapshot I took of it and saw what I had to search with to find one. Who would think "lefty righty" to search with??? Anyhow, I not only recommend these I also show all of my tape using friends the tape. I bought the 16' but there are larger ones out there if that is what you want. I bought two! Get one, boy will you be glad you did. Even marks the 32nds. Good size-to-weight ratio.
I wanted a 1-inch by 16ft tape. I got tired of carrying around a bulky 1-inch by 25-foot tape. And I got three for the price of one. BUT! I hate the 3/4"x16' tapes, too whippy. These are 1-inch wide! Some of the features are kind of dumb, like a pencil sharpener, but most of them are pretty cool like the wright-on-board on the side of the tape; it works! The thing I don't like about it is, they've crammed left and right numbers on the tape which is a cool idea, but it makes for a lot of minutiae. Also, the foot markers are kind of obscure. Best of the best
This is without a doubt best tape measure I've ever used. Every common fraction of an inch down to every 16th (1/4, 3/8, 5/16, etc) are *all* clearly marked, facing either side of the tape. This makes measurements so much faster and easier to transfer - no translation that has to happen in your head, no counting small strike marks. It's possible to be precise that way, but this just makes it easier, and I can't imagine going back. The 16ft length is nice, as it's small. The damper/brake is excellent and easy to modulate. Great tape measure
One of the best tapes I’ve ever owned. Comfortable to read in either direction. If something was to happen to it I would have to get another just like it.
