You gotta see this
I loved this series as a kid. I was unusually interested in history for a grade schooler. My dad served in WWII so I was particularly interested in the war in Europe. I was well educated by the series when it was on tv. I had this on vhs but it was time to update to dvd. I got a very good deal on this set. It shipped right away. whenever Lawrence Olivia speaks, it's well worth the time to pay attention. This incredibly succinct documentary portrays the big picture of WWII in a very viewable, riveting and informative formate that is easily followed, heart wrenching, and broadening ones understanding all at once. A engrossing and thorough account of the 20th Century's worst conflict.
The best and most extensive single documentary on WW II ever made. The many interviews with surviving participants in the events of the war give personal perspectives that compliment the period news footage.
