Very good
Having installed downlights in another property and had to cope with the dust I knew I didn't want that when I put them in my own house. Even though I was just fitting a couple it was worth buying this dust catcher. It paid for itself by reducing the cleanup time to zero. The only slight niggle is that it isn't clear..it is slightly opaque. Not a big problem but it can make it difficult to see your mark if you need to line up your cuts precisely. Can accommodate a wide holesaw if you are fitting large downlights. I've used it for 70mm and 57mm holesaw but it would have been fine with saws well over 100mm and above.

DADE hole saw catcher Simply brilliant
Been an electrician for over 30 years, I wished I'd invented this little beauty. Simply brilliant. No need to clear out and dushsheet room this catches all the dust. Fits to my makita perfectly. Put cutter on high speed and cut through ceiling using the on off tricker method. If u just power up on full power it will spin. However just using quick 5 second bursts it's perfect and u are through in no time. Would by again however the quality of this means it's going to last. Well worth the money

Where have you been all my life?
It’s designed for hole saw drilling above head but I have used it horizontally too to drill holes in walls (with short/small drill bit of course) & it catches a majority of the dust that would normally get everywhere. Really good idea & it comes highly recommended

Why did I not buy one if these years ago!
Great product for drilling downlight holes, no dust at all if your careful, wish I'd bought one years ago, would have saved my eyes and clothes from a lot of dust!

Not bad, but can be better
Generally a good product. It collects most of the plasterboard dust, however you need to be careful to hold it upright and take to the bin! Negative - The cup is made of white silicone. It blocks your view and you'll not be able to aim accurately where to drill. It would be much better if it was in clear silicone.

Must have one
I am very please with dust collector and must have one if you are use regular user. The job does excellent, no mess or get into eyes.

Great for electricians
Great device. If you cut out downlights regularly then this will pay for itself quickly. Works well, saves time clearing up and no more dust in your face.

Simple design but very effective
Well made and thought out product. Worked perfectly on a lath and plaster ceiling,all the dust and debris was collected in the silicon bowl.Plastic centre for drill chuck to spin easily.

Well worth the cost for a tidy job.
A bit expensive for a bit of plastic, but still well worth having if you have a few downlighter holes to cut in plasterboard. Almost zero dust. Excellent.
