Ubisoft's musical instrument sim designed to work with real guitars returns with more than 50 new songs, a variety of new and updated modes, and a completely redesigned interface in Rocksmith 2014 Edition. While the game's action takes the form of a color-coded "note highway" that should be familiar to anyone who played Guitar Hero or Rock Band, and the new interface has been designed to be clearer, faster, and easier to use for those who cannot read sheet music, many of the changes in Rocksmith 2014 were made with more experienced guitar players in mind.<br><br>The graduated difficulty settings from the original Rocksmith are gone, letting experienced guitarists immediately jump to the appropriate challenge, and the Session mode finds the in-game band adjusting on the fly as players improvise and jam. Meanwhile, the revamped Master mode lets gamers attempt to take on songs entirely from memory. Plenty of help remains for those who have never played a guitar before, with the Riff Repeater allowing players to focus on specific segments of songs and adjust the difficulty and speed of the music on the fly, while the Guitarcade mini-games return with new activities to help users fine-tune their chords and techniques.<br><br>This bundle includes the full game, an Epiphone Les Paul Electric Jr. guitar, and the Rocksmith Real Tone cable that lets gamers plug a guitar directly into their PC or Mac.

Rocksmith 2014 "rocks" but it takes work.
Once I surfed the the web to find a configuration my PC could work with, I enjoyed playing the game, and learning to play the Bass Guitar. Don't let this review be a negative to considering the product, just know that along with eagerness to play, patience to "get" to play is required. Once I figured out the right settings to play, the game is easy to use. One frustration is, though, I can only play the game after a fresh start of the computer. If I quit the game, I have to reboot my computer if I wish to play again. I have searched and understand this is an issue with PCs. Learning to rock with Rocksmith 2014
I've had the Xbox One package for three weeks and practices for 30-60 minutes a day. I'm an old dog trying to learn to play guitar. Picking the right string without looking is a challenge, not to mention contorting your fret hand to form a chord. Read my review with that in mind. Learning guitar with Rocksmith is actually fun. Some of Positives: - Playing lessons at your own pace and replaying practice tracks is a big plus for me. - Practice lessons slow down if you’re having trouble. - The practice track progression percentage let you know how well you are doing for each lesson. - The games in Guitarcade are great for muscle memory repetitive motion. - The photos detailing hand positions to prove someone hands can actually bend that way. My chromatic tuner displays that I hit the right note, but Rocksmith tells me to move up/down a fret. Great package that I would recommend to anyone wanting to learn guitar.

Rocksmith 2014 for PC
Bought mainly for the cable since I wanted a backup cable. I have played Rocksmith on xbox 360 and xbox one and now playing it on PC. Always wanted to learn Bass and with RS2014 I have really enjoyed playing and after playing Rock band, Rocksmith has the feel of a game but you are actually using a musical instrument and after awhile when using a amp you can start hearing the music you are actually playing the song which is what makes you want to keep playing . Some people will say that Rocksmith is just a game and you don't learn theory blah blah but unless you have extra spending money for traditional lessons this is the next best thing due to you can play anytime you want . This is one of the best ideas ever invented for games. I have not had more fun learning to play anything. I am a game designer in the industry. this is one of those shining examples of games that seamlessly shows you that you can have a great time playing games and learning !
