Rampant wackiness ensues when a cargo ship carrying a load of beer is hit by a Japanese torpedo, and Sgt. O'Farrell (Hope) sets out to rescue the beverages. Hoping to buoy the confidence of his troops even further, the wily sergeant also attempts to hijack a group of lovely nurses for his men as well - only to end up with several male nurses and Phyllis Diller! Add in a strong antiwar statement, and you've got the mixture for one of Hope's most enduring films

This movie is ok.
I bought this CD because the picture was shot near my home town. It turned out to be a very entertaining movie. I liked it. And Gina Lollobrigida is always nice to look at.
