I Would have enjoyed "The Graduate" more with English sub-titles.
The only negative I can cite is that, while the "closed captioning" symbol was on the bottom of the back of the case, not every movie was captioned in English. I suspected this might be a problem because many of the older movies were captioned only for foreign language viewers. Apparently, the producers did not appreciate the problems of English-speakers who love movies but have to deal with hearing disabilities. I was surprised that "The Graduate" was one of those with only foreign captioning. I had to quickly summarize what each actor had said so that my husband could understand what was going on in the scene. He seemed to be satisfied with my sometimes-brief synopsis as he said that he enjoyed the movie. However, I felt like I had missed out on some of the visual nuances because I had to turn my head often to face him. I guess I could watch it again once we finish the other selections. My fingers are crossed that they will not disappoint. EEP
