In addition to efficient sequential performance, the Intel SSD DC S3700 series features a 2.5-inch form factor and controller functionality. Incorporating High Endurance Technology (HET), the Intel SSD DC 3700 delivers single-level cell solid-state drive endurance in a multilevel cell SSD package. By combining Intel SSD NAND management techniques and NAND silicon enhancements, HET enables the DC 3700 series with 10 drive writes per day, during a five-year life. For the Intel DC 3700 series 800GB SSD that is equivalent to recording over 186 years of high-definition video over the life of the drive. The S3700 SSD features a max latency of less than 500us, 500MB/s sequential reads, and 200MB/s sequential writes. The Intel SSD S3700 protects your data from the moment it enters your drive and during its entire life cycle. The Intel S3700 uses an advance error correction scheme that ensures data integrity by protecting against possible data corruption in the NAND, SRAM, and DRAM memory. The S3700 from Intel also protects data in transit through several techniques such as parity checks, Cyclic Redundancy Checks, and LBA tag validation. Once an error is detected, an immediate attempt will be made to correct it, and any uncorrectable error will be reported to the host. To improve data assurance further, the Intel SSD S3700 provides an array of surplus flash memory that caches data to minimize potential data loss. The Intel SSD S3700 offers data protection from external threats and system issues, with 256-bit encryption technology, giving you the peace of mind that your company’s, or your personal data, is secure and safe.
