Keep your heat in
These are a great recent development. You used to have to cut round downlights to avoid potential fire in the insulation but these mean you can now seal the lamp in and insulate over it. Should make a big improvement to heat retention. Easy fit. Only crib is they are a bit expensive for what they are but it is a one time expense.

Simple
Easy to install and effective. Previously had no insulation over my down lights in the hallway, so these have made my hall much warmer!

Robust and simple to install.
Compact yet large enough to accommodate downlight connection box. No nasty sharp edges that you get with the metal fold-up version covers.

Millionaires plastic pot.
I fully understand that some plastics are fire retardant while others are not. However I cannot understand why a black plastic cover costs 5 times more than a black plastic bucket, which is 5 times the size of the hood cap. REALLY!

In my case not wide enough as my spotlight retaining springs catch the sides of the cover so won't seat correctly.
