An 8-bit video-game character attempts to shed his bad-guy image by escaping into a popular first-person shooter, but inadvertently wreaks havoc in the video-game universe by freeing a digital villain who can only be contained with the help of a most unlikely ally in this colorful animated adventure. Wreck-It Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) is the arch nemesis of Fix-It Felix (voice of Jack McBrayer), one of the most beloved video-game icons of all time. In a noble bid to prove he is more than the sum of his programming, Ralph sneaks from his cozy retro home into a highly advanced combat game featuring battle-hardened soldier Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch), and strives to prove his bravery by winning a medal. In the process, however, Ralph accidentally frees the greatest threat the video-game world has ever seen. But all hope is not lost, because if Ralph can just convince unpredictable cart racer Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) to help set things right, perhaps he can finally unleash his inner hero and save the arcade from certain destruction.

    Way to go Ralph

    This is a movie of which I have watched for the first time, and found that one must view it over again to catch all the little hidden gems within the story within a story. Disney was a master in creating wonderful story line to go along with the excellent animation, and this is one that fills that to the utmost. The producer/animator's did Disney well in the creation of a movie about basically a video game, with all it's many twists and turns that one experience when playing such a real video game. I am not an player of video games for they just whip my butt, but this is downright just plan fun and games.

    Toy Story, but with video games

    While the emphasis of the film is on the relationship between Ralph and Vanellope in the Sugar Rush video game land, there was enough humor and video game references to recommend it to anyone who's a fan of the Toy Story films and old school/arcade games. It's another good entry in Disney's recent set of excellent set of 3D films released in the past several years.

    Love this movie!

    My son is 5, and very few movies engage him, but Wreck it Ralph has such non stop excitement, and such fun characters, he's entertained from start, through the end credits! Five Stars! I highly recommend the Blue ray combo pack if you have a blue ray player, you get one disc for the family room, and one for their room, or on the go!

    Great Kids movie

    My grandkids & I love this movie! Great characters, very funny but also has good life lessons in the story line. Sometimes we double-feature; this movie then Ralph Breaks the Internet.

    One of the few modern good ones

    Sound on the Blu-ray is phenomenal as well as the picture. Easy to lose yourself in the movie. Lots of little clever details and special features. Not hard to see why this is near the top of modern Disney movies.
