Pros: Great graphics Bone-crushing action Uncensored fatalities and blood (If you press ABACABB) Cons: Some more sound effects would be nice Needs more fighters (Then again there's MKII) Fights are short Mortal Kombat hit the arcades by storm in 1992 with the use of digitized actors and blood by the gallons. It was no surprise that it was going to be released on home consoles in '93 and everyone rushed for the Genesis version for obvious reasons. Sure it was a great game then but what about now? You bet! Mortal Kombat for the Sega Genesis is the best arcade port of the game and is a blast to play. You get to choose seven fighters (Kano, Sonya, Rayden, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Johhny Cage and Liu Kang) each with their own moves and ablities. The music is great to listen to and the graphics are ... Amazing condition, Mortal Kombat fun!
Amazing condition - even came with poster and registration form! This game is a real gem for collectors, and the Genesis version I got was MINT. Very happy with this purchase and had a blast kicking my brother. Bought two 6 button Genesis controllers just to play this.

Recommended for skilled players
Like I said with Virtua Fighter, all fighting games require good technique. Sadly, I couldn’t survive the first two matches, but I definitely recommend it to those good with fighting games.

I owned this when I was a kid and then recently re-bought a Genesis and had to get this game. Just as I remember incredible.
