Tried it, works perfectly, will save me the frustration and cost of new lights. So well worth the purchase! Even fixed a string of lights n the Christmas tree in storage and on our church wreath! Buy it, worth it but be aware, this device was for incandescent lights (bulb has filaments), need to buy the one for L.E.D. lights if your string is L.E.D.
