However, I carefully measured the cord to be replaced at 2mm and ordered 2.5 which, when it arrived, seemed to be more like 1.5mm. After carefull checking I accepted that it could be claimed to be 2.5mm as ordered. I than checked a similar order from 6 years ago which had the same problem. I now believe that I should have ordered 3.5mm or at least 3mm for a standard cord pull curtain rail. Not the suppliers fault but an experience worth sharing.
