Yes if you pull upward on it before following the instructions fully by assembling the cable and then the console cover and then hard shifting thru the gears as instructions indicate. The cable placement and design of your cable doesn't go upward it moves back and forth. However, if you are unhappy with your lifetime warrantied product please work your return through ebay. We stand behind our products with honor and integrity.
