The belt was fairly stiff but after a liberal application of mink oil waterproofing preservative and 30 seconds on high in a microwave (without the buckle) and wiping off the excess the belt became flexible. Size 36-38 was a perfect fit for 36 with my buckle! My buckel was an nice old brass piece that was given a new service life by the belt. Over all a Very good purchase.
