Canon EF 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 IS USM DO Lens
A very good Canon lens. I purchased it for it's wide range, from 70-300mm. I also like it's somewhat compact size as opposed to Canons' other telephotos. The IS is very quick, and the lens lock, which prevent lens creep when carrying is a nice feature. Great Walk-about Tele-zoom
Despite seeing several reviews which claim this lens gives soft photo's, I have found that, in good light, I am getting pin-sharp results every time. I would say that it is imperative to use the supplied lens hood at all times as the DO lens elements are very susceptible to flare. The relatively light weight of this lens is great for carrying around. It is much lighter than the 100-400 L lens, for example, and balances well on my camera (7D). My example does not have a problem with "zoom creep" but the zoom lock would correct that problem at the expense of instant availability. As a used buy it is fantastic value for money, but I would not have bought this lens at the full price - I think it is overpriced when new, being more expensive than the 70-300 L lens. Great Lens

70-300 DO
I like that this lens is shorter than the regular 70-300. It allows me space for a small flash. The optics and the image stabilisation perform as expected.
